Panini says it produced more than 250 Instant cards from the opening of the 2026 tournament through Spain lifting the trophy. That breadth matters because this was the first 48-team World Cup: more countries, more debut stories and more possible record cards than any earlier edition.
The importance is not the size of the checklist alone. The best releases describe the event with unusual precision. Mbappé #253 names a second Golden Boot and a new career scoring record. Yamal #246 fixes the final score, date and a 19-year-old champion into one object. Cristiano #99 names the first player to score at six World Cups. These are not generic player appearances; they are compact records of why the tournament mattered.
2026 is meaningful because the program preserved several career-defining chapters at the exact moment they became history—not because every one of its 250-plus cards deserves to appreciate.
