What we collect, and what we don’t.
We keep this simple: enough information to send the newsletter and understand which pages people use, but no advertising profile.

When you join The Weekly Moment, we store your email address, consent timestamp, signup source and subscription status. If you choose a topic, follow an athlete or ask for a card-specific print-run alert, we also store that public preference or card record identifier and whether it remains active. We use this information only to administer and deliver the emails you requested.
Our privacy-first measurement
The site records anonymous page views, visits, outbound-link clicks, successful newsletter signups and real-user performance measurements such as page-load speed and layout stability. Events may include the page path, broad device category, country code, campaign and post tags and, when relevant, only the referring or destination hostname. Campaign attribution is retained only for the current browser tab so we can understand whether an Instagram post led to a useful page, newsletter signup or marketplace click. Before an event is accepted, the request’s browser signature and infrastructure bot signal are checked to reject known crawlers, scripted clients and instrumented browsers; those signatures are not stored with the event. This first-party system does not store your IP address, full referring URL, advertising identifier or browsing profile. Its random visit identifier stays in your browser tab, and Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control disables the beacon.
Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics is off until you choose “Accept analytics.” If you accept, Google may use analytics cookies and receive information including the pages you view, approximate location derived from your network address, device and browser details, referrer, and interactions such as page views and engagement. We use this only to understand readership and improve the publication. Advertising storage, Google signals and ads-personalization features are disabled. You can decline before it loads or reopen “Privacy choices” at any time to withdraw consent and remove the site’s Google Analytics cookies.
Marketplace and affiliate links
Links to supported eBay marketplaces carry our eBay Partner Network campaign attribution and are marked “affiliate” on the page. When a visit began on Instagram, the affiliate link also carries a short non-personal campaign label so we can distinguish social-origin clicks inside eBay’s reporting. If you deliberately follow one and later make a qualifying purchase, Instant Card Index may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. We use ordinary promotable URLs rather than loading eBay’s Smart Links advertising script or mobile popovers on this site. eBay controls its own destination, checkout, attribution technology and privacy practices after you click.
Service providers
The site’s hosting and infrastructure providers may process routine request information needed for security and reliable delivery under their own terms. When email delivery is activated, the delivery provider receives subscriber addresses and campaign events only to maintain the audience, suppress opt-outs, deliver editions and report delivery performance. We do not sell newsletter information or share it with data brokers.
Retention and your choices
Active newsletter records are kept while you remain subscribed. Unsubscribed records may be retained in inactive form to honor the opt-out and prevent accidental reactivation. You may unsubscribe here and rejoin later with fresh consent. Google Analytics retention and deletion are governed by the settings of our dedicated Instant Card Index property and your consent choice.
Changes
Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new review date. Before any paid membership, account system or additional tracking is introduced, this policy will be updated.
